Materials: old blanket, glue and a lock of human hair
I interviewed one of my friends who lost a blanket she loved when she was very young. She wants to get it back because of its scent, reminding her of her mom. As her mother often went out and came home late many days a week, my friend got even more attached to her blanket. When she lost the blanket, she felt a sense of intense loss, almost as if she lost a loved one. Like a blanket encompasses the child, I made a box to encompass an element of the 'person'. When I think a smell of a person, I think of hair. As a result, I put in hair in order to represent the smell of the blanket she lost.
